Robert Hinnen is an accomplished Senior Executive and Advisor with more than 25 years of success across the healthcare and nonprofit industries. His broad areas of expertise include development, cultivation, stewardship and strategic planning. Robert holds a leadership position as the Owner and Founder of Hinnen Philanthropy Advisors, where he offers exceptional and affordable consulting services for small to medium-sized nonprofit organizations seeking guidance and fundraising planning for development staff team success. He also specializes in individual giving, major gifts, corporate relations, and proven relationship building methods. He also specializes in individual giving, major gifts, corporate relations and proven cultivation and stewardship methods that bode well in the complex world of non-profit relations.
Throughout Robert’s career path, he has served in numerous key development roles and his experience has now allowed him to share his expertise and skill set with fundraising individuals at all levels. Robert recently served as Vice President of Development with Joe Torre Safe at Home Foundation, where he oversaw all philanthropic aspects of the organization and created a feasibility plan for major giving programs to identify past and current donors and implement new outreach. Before his role at Joe Torre Safe at Home Foundation, Robert additionally led as the National Business Development Director and Senior Director of Philanthropy with Lupus Research Alliance. Before this, he had served as Director of Development with Children’s International Obesity Foundation and Co-Program Director at the Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) Center of New Jersey as a team member of the Hackensack University Medical Center Department of Pediatrics for eleven solid years.
Mr. Hinnen earned his Master of Social Work from Fordham University as well as a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Kansas. When not working on specific projects, Robert enjoys traveling, reading, exploring new foods, genealogy, accents and spending time with his life partner and their beloved pets and family.
